window tint, need some input....
im driving a firebird and getting tint soon and need some input from people who have tint done. whats the lowest u can go without getting ****ed with everytime a cop sees u? im going with 5% on the back but not sure how dark to put it on the sides, i want the tint to be noticible but i dont want to be getting pulled over. i was thinking 20% or so? what u guys think?? btw im just going with straight black tint...no mirror or smoke or anything....

Just get 10% all around, if you get pulled over they make you take it off, and there is no fee.. My buddy had his trans-am DOUBLE LIMO TINTED including windshield, you could not see out the fuking car, let alone in it.. haha

i got 10% done on my camaro and you can barely see in it during the day and cant at night. Usually cops will only give you a hard time if it is at night and anything under 20 you cant see through at night. Make sure you roll both of your windows down if you get pulled over so you dont piss off the cop by not letting him see u. Usually cops are pretty cool about it but some are dicks I would go with 10

It also depends on what color your interior is. I got 20 on mine but my interior is beige so you can see right through it. Now i have to strip off the tint and put limo on it. Do it right the first time.

Every state has their own laws..you will want to check this out before moving forward...most tint shops will tell you and show you what is legal...Most of the time, you can get the rear windows as dark as you want, they only car about the driver and passenger windows...that said, legal is 50% here, which is basically nothing...you will also have to consider the color of you interior, if you have dark interior, your window tint will not have to be as dark. I wouldnt go any lower then 15-20% personally, your just asking for trouble....but it also depends on how the cops are in your area..

I like the 3m magic tint. It darkens up when the sun is ablaze and lightens up when its night or overcast.

Like posted above stated, check the laws in your state. I have 15% on both my rides and it is plenty dark enough during the day and not so dark I can't see out at night.

Go with the legal or not much more as it is a b*tch to pull off. I had a Cherokee and went 20 all the way around and was mediocre during the day and dark at night. And the Cherokee has a hell of alot of windows so it let in alot of light and still the tint did good. IMO go with legal, just MO,.

I found that 5% on everything behind the driver and passenger windows is perfect and i generally go with 15% on the driver side and passenger side and the brow...

Bro, Michigan police are anal about tint. I have been pulled over 3 times for tint. Most cops just let you take it off then wave the ticket. But if you dont pull it off its like $85 I believe. Most city cops dont care but michigan state police are horrible about it.
You can always get a note from your doctor saying you need tint because sunlight bugs you. It works for my friend.

I have rear window, passenger and driver so dark you can't see ANYTHING inside during any part of the day.. Never had a problem with police.. As long as the rest of your car isn't pushing the line (headlight covers) the I think the police will let you go
