Is there going to be an AR march madness pool?
I'm very seriously considering scouring ESPN and the like to find a site that offers a free online bracket pool for the upcoming NCAAs. Assuming I find one (i think yahoo does it), are we up for an AR Pool? Sure it won't have the same tenacity as the AR Fantasy Football League, but it won't require anymore of a commitment than the ten or so minutes it takes to make your selections. I'm going to check and see what I come up with....
EDIT: There is now a yahoo tournament pick 'em pool set up specifically for AR. To join, you must either openly post a valid email address below OR PM me a valid address...Yahoo will not "use" these email addys for anything, it is simply a way for me to send the invite links and instructions. The limit is at 50 and I believe I've already sent out 10+ invites.Last edited by BigGreen; 03-15-2004 at 08:19 AM.

I am not into NCAA ball really but I wouldn't mind taking part in an AR NHL playoff pool.

But anyway, I've created a Yahoo Pool, but there's no direct link to sign up, so anyone wanting in will have to post an email that they'll use for the thing so I can send the invite. Yahoo does NOT save these emails, they're only seen by me. Either post them here or PM me....the limit is 50, and I doubt we'll hit that, but keep it in mind just in case.

Well, I've already filled out my bracket, but I don't think that I will do very well. I didn't pick enough upsets. There are always more upsets than you expect, and they are nearly impossible to predict.

BUMP...i just filled out my brackets and it takes all of five minutes. Five minutes worth of thinking for the chance to yield bragging rights on AR. Come on sweater monkeys!!

If you guys want to get in on another pool BM another board I mod at is sponsering one. Not trying to steal your thread your's will win bragging rights at AR, the other will win some free stuff, so get in both.
Free to play, open to all board members, with prizes to the winners donated by cysol and others, see the thread below for more details.

If you want in pm me your address, so I can get a link to our private group on cbs sportsline out to you.

screw bragging rights. why not play for money ?? Have someone make up some sheets or find one online where you can print it out. we have a set address to send it to - plus 10 bucks a sheet. winner take most, second gets some, last place gets his money back.
of course this would be based on a total trust issue. definitely have to have someone you can trust on the board to send your 10 bucks.
they could even scan the papers and post so that everyone would see who everyone picked, so no one would think they were favoring someone else on the matter.

I've made my picks. Besides my unwavering loyalty to my alma mater Illinois, I didn't have too many big upset picks. I think the brackets are pretty decent with the exception that Illinois and Wisconsin got screwed badly in their seeding. Should have been 3 and 4 seeds. Not 5 and 6. Whatever.

Well this really sucks, two of my final four teams are gone and i had Stanford to win it all, good to see the underdogs doing good, but i will surely be mopping up my tears after finishing what seems to be the inevitable.... last.
