I did a surprise upgrade tonight. It's mostly just some graphic and security changes. The arcade is down temporarily, give me about 36 hours and I should be able to rehack it back in.

Why are there so many people still awake??? LOL I'm going home to get some sleep. I thought it would be safe to upgrade because no one would be online, but there were about 150 people online at the time. Oh well, enjoy it everyone. The graphics will either be loved or hated by most everyone (at least that's the case at other forums).
Upcoming Changes (in other words...please be patient and don't ask LOL )
1.) The arcade will be working again sometime on Monday
2.) New styles with various colors and/or smilies
3.) Many more new hacks and possibly the store hack which will lead to many more features for everyone
4.) Near Future - Option to donate to the board. 100% of all money donated will go back to members in some way.

I agree with Bouncer, andsince I will be overseas and unable to order my favorite AllSport Nutrtion protein from you guys, I would gladly make a donation(s) to keep the board maintained..And I love the new cosmetics of the board..Very pleasing to the eye in my opinion..Great job Jason!

I love the new look. It seems the board loads faster. Probably because the Arcade is not up.
PTbyJason, I have a concern that I have had for some time with posting. Once in a while when I reply to a post or do a quick post. After I hit reply or post button, the wizzy hangs then directs me to an off page from AR that is a default page if my inquiry can not be found or my network is off line. My post then is erased if I hit the back button going back to AR. Sometimes it is more consistant on nights than days but it just happened to me about half hour ago as I am answering questions up in the Steroid Question forum.

That happens to me sometimes. If I dont wanna retype the post, I just keep clicking on the "REPLY button. If the page hangs up for more than 10 seconds, I know it is gonna erase the post and send me to "page not found"
Just click it several times and delete any repeat posts.

This isn't a comment about the new board look, but ... why does AR (and other boards for that matter) keep changing and upgrading? Is it speed?
I am just curious, as I would think upgrading would cost money, and the board(s) really speak for themselves with or without the latest pretty-looking upgrades.
Honestly, I'm computer illiterate, so I am just wondering what the reasons are that boards do what they do.

This version of vb is faster than previous versions with or without the arcade.
I'm not sure why it does that, but it should happen less frequently now. I think it's due to the server being overloaded to be honest.

Speed is one part of it. Many times the upgrades, such as this one, help speed up the website due to the code changes. Another reason is usually looks better to have the newest and best out there. Technology changes fast and if you keep up with it, it's easier in the long run. Another reason is security. The other version that I was running had 3 or 4 security problems and it was necesssary to upgrade in order to prevent anyone from attacking the board.
Upgrading does not cost money on vbulletin. I do the upgrading myself so technically it's free, and the only thing I lose is sleep.Vbulletin gives updates to it's software for free, we just pay yearly fees.
