is break light bulb different than sitting light bulbs?

cause i dunno, i bought the break light bulb thinking it was the break light bulb,but it really the sitting lights that dont work on the left sides. Unless break light bulbs are the same as sitting light bulbs?

dang if its electrical problem how much does it cost to fix,i drive a gmc jimmy 98
