Accutane while on cycle

whats up bros...i got a problem, acne, its stuck with me for the past 5 or 6 years now, as a constant annoyance. I have been to the dermatologist a few times, got some bs medicine, it went away, but always came back. Now i take care of my face, washing it with creams and always putting on moisturizer, but i have pimples. This is going to be greatly enhanced by my upcoming cycle, and i really don;t want that to happen...neither does my girl...lol...so i was wondering if accutane would be good to take while i am on my cycle, i read that handbook post about it, and i think i might get it perscribed, what do u guys think about accutane, i mean does it work???

It works forsure, but you will never get it prescribed for you as long as you are on a cycle simply because they test you every month (bloodtest) before you get your monthly supply of accutane ( it takes 6 months ) I tried the other day, but after the doc said this... I am gonna try the blackmarket and see what I can come up with..

This stuff is very potent...and nasty side effects....I know a few ppl who have contemplated suicide. But it does work great.

I think that the hormones mixed with the accutane=trouble. My freind tried to kill himself on Accutane and Test. Luckily he didn't take Vicoden like he thought he did, he took some prescription alergy medication and just threw up for a few hours.......IMO stick to topical stuff while on. This guy had never suffered depression before or after the accutane, and he has used steroids before so it wasn't that.

Accutane works very well but it's also extremely liver toxic. Taking it on cycle is a good way to turn your liver into swiss cheese.

Look into Pantothenic Acid/B5, it's as effective as accutane and safe on cycle.

I was on accutane and did my first cycle of 500mg each week of schering testovirons. Had no problems....I'm 3 weeks into my post cycle with clomid and not a pimple. I believe its cause I timed it right. I started with I was 3 months into accutane, and finished up right before it ended....Things worked out great....yea sides suck, like DRY LIPS...just imageine dry, cracked, bloody lips for 6 months...it doesn't sound bad, but people notice that ****....besides that everythings good...i feel like i have depression now...but i blame the clomid.....best of luck, peace

Bro don't listen to the freakin suicide stories. THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of people are on accutane and how many directly linked deaths have you heard of? If there was a link with Accutane and suicide the FDA would BAN it hands down. Anyway- I took accutane and was on cycle the whole time. Blood tests were a little off but I blamed it on eating before. Not a big deal at all imo.

thats what i was thinking about doing...just tryin to fool the doc when my test results came back...either way, i think a dermatologist has the same doctor patient silence agreement thing, i can always tell him i am on juice....but wait..that will make him stop the perscription....i'll do something...if not accutane..i have an appointment next week, i really just don't want my face to explode with zits, i am just starting to recover from being a teen...from 2 years ago

Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor, I'm simply stating what has worked for me. Whether this truly reduces risk and sides I don't know.

I have taken extremely low doses of Accutane for about 12 weeks now, as a pimple prevention, and it has worked excellent. I typically take about 40mg a week, or 1 10 mg pill EOD or so.

I regulate like this, if acne increase, I up the dosage a bit, if sides kick in, ie dry skin, cracking lips, I decrease the dosage. This has worked amazing for me, but again I am only stating what has worked for me.
