buying syringes
hey,
anyone know of any big drugstores/pharmacies (eg. walgreens, eckerds, etc) that will sell needles over the counter? I know some require prescriptions, but was wondering if anyone knew of any stores without that policy. thanks guys

Depends on where you live. There are some states that you can't buy that stuff OTC, but I forget where......
If all else fails, androusa.com or getpinz.com will treat you right.

I'm glad I live in the UK, I just go down to my local needle exchange and have as much of whatever I want for free! Last visit I had 30 2.5ml barrels, 60 21Gx1 1/2" pins and about 50 swabs all for nothing! Oh, and a sharps bin to dispose of the works afterwards. How much would that lot cost you in the US?

Check with your state laws. Alot of states allow the purchase of syringes w/o an Rx, and it is perfectly legal. But the catch is that not all local pharmacies will sell them to you, even though it is legal to do so. Sometimes it is the stores policy, sometimes you will just have a misguided power-freak who thinks it is up to them to decide whether you can purchase them or not. But the easiest way as you probably know by now is to purchase them online. No hassels, no nosy pharmacists, and best of all....it is much cheaper.

I got them from CVS. The girl asked why I needed a 22g 1 1/2 for and I told her for hunting dogs. She said " Yea, my dad used to hunt and they always gave their dogs shots." I walked out paying 25 cents each.

Depends on the state and the store......some stores just won't sell them with out a script. even if it's legal in that state......
side note: I have used pins from walgreens and about 35% have burrs/bent tip.....hurt
going in! gpz.com are nice needles....so far no problems with them.
