Would it take the same amount of time as it took for it to originaly kick in (4-5 weeks) at the start of the cycle or would it be much sooner if you increased it mid-cycle? Just curious and couldn't find much searching.

It will kick in faster. More like the 2-3 week mark after you up the dose.
its the same time no matter how much you take
Not true. Because of the tapering effect of Esters many bros frontload higher doses at the start of their cycle to reach maintenance quicker. This consequently leads to a faster "kick in" and more stable blood levels for a longer period of time. For example, if you were shooting Test E at 250mg 2x Week, you wouldn't actually get a release of over 400mg during a wk until wk4, which is the main reason for the kick in. At that point the amount of Test in muscle depot would be near a gram, and in later wks, even over a gram. Another reason for the Kick-In is that you must actually lift a body part with Test levels high for the increased protein synthesis to take effect. When protein synthesis increases as result of stimulation and Test, your mass increases. The kick in also has to do with AR mediated receptors but again this all ties in with blood levels.Originally Posted by pietro75
There is alot of info on this floating around but the below link will give you a better understanding to what i am talking about.

So say for example, you were taking 500mg of Test E and you're in week 8 or so of a 16 weeker, 1/2 way. If you upped that to 750mg, how long before you would actualy reach 750mg being released?
For simplicity when posting, I graphed Test E for shots EW and assumed it had a half life of 10days. This is good to use as a frame of reference, but like the link says, there are many variables that go into determining the rate of absorbtion and amount actually released. Ester weights, de-esterification, and...ect..
500mg wk is administered up until wk8. Then 750mg is administered. As you can see, you wont get above 700mg until after wk11.

P.S.
Posted this before but... Kick-In may also depend on the ester too. For instance, "you have to remember that the ester is going to add more weight to the molecule. The larger the ester the less base steroid there is going to be in a 100mg steroid ester. You can use the following chart to figure this out:
Mg of Testosterone
Testosterone (no ester)
C19 H28 O2 288.4 100mg
Acetate
C2 H2 O 42.1 87.26mg
Propionate
C3 H4 O 56.1mg 83.72mg
Enanthate*
C7 H12 O 112.2mg 71.99mg
Cypionate
C8 H4 O 124.2mg 69.90mg
Decanoate
C10 H18 O 154.3mg 65.15mg
When the ester molecular weight is considered 500mg of prop made from .5g of USP powder has 418mg of test. Whereas, .5g of Enan has 359mg of Test. 59mg might not seem like too much but it will make a difference when you start getting into 700mg or more--about 83mg could make a difference. Just by looking at the weight there's no question as to why Susp kicks A$$, aside from the fact it hits the sytem almost instantaneously. Just my .02 tho.
