you just have to watch for its hydration rating. theres powder and crystal dnp which is directly related to the moisture in it, so you have to adjust doses according to the actual weight of the compound. make sure your not under , or worse, overdosing because of moisture you did or didn't know was in it!
it is also known as Phenol, and 2,4-dinitro for abbreviations

Well actually ........ Aldrich sells 2,3- 2,4- 2,5- and 2,6-dinitrophenol. The 1-position is of course the hydroxy, so why would you think you couldn't synthesize the other isomers?Quote:
