Juice Leaking Out?

So I was injecting only 1 ml of 100 mg of prop into my shoulder today, following good injection procedures. Wipe the area with alcohol, inject deep into the muscle (25g 1.5 inch), pull back on the plunger, then slowly insert the oil (took at least a minute). When I pulled out the pin no blood came, but the juice started to leak out. I bet I lost a good .3 ml. I have heard this happening to people who inject too fast, but I have done at least 10 cycles and this has never happened to me before. Any ideas why? When it started to leak, it wasn't like it was dripping. It rushed out.

the only thing I can think of is it leaking if you didnt inject far enough...but if you used 1.5 inch pin, then is def. deep enough. bump for any other ideas.

It happens to me sometimes when I pull the needle out too fast. After you push the plunger in hold the syring in for a little while, then put a cottomball on it asap. Usually does the trick for me.

Well, I usually do pull the needle out pretty fast, but I have never had a problem with this before. I'll give your way a try and see if it happens again. thanks

It happens to me when i pull the pin out right after i inject like NB said.

Hold the plunger at the bottom for a second then you can pull it out fast if you want..

inject slower and pull the needle out slowly. sometimes it happens in my delts so i always have a small cotton pad to press firmly and massage it. don't want to lose any of that liquid gold

Holy sh*t! 1.5 inch for the shoulder...are you not hitting bone!?

Try using the Z technique. Always stops leakage.

you should use 1 inch for the shoulder, also after taking the syringe out you should keep the alcohol pad on the injection site and keep some presure with your finger for 15 or 20 seconds.

When you seee it leaking pinch the site with some pressure, hold for a minute or so. This should stop any further leakage.

Happens for me only with a location thats been getting too many/too frequent injections and the muscle get real reluctant to accept any more... try more locations and give individual sites a break from time to time will help.

leave a small air bubble of at least 0.1cc. when u inject, the air bubble will serve as a cap until u can start to massage the oil in. this is what was tought to my class in nursing school. z track is a little difficult when u can only use 1 hand.

hhmmmm there seems to be quite a stir about 1.5s. that's all i've ever used in the delts and quads and 2" in the glutes. i've never hit bone either. guess all those upright rows and dumbell laterals are paying off!

that's true, I've been using "z-track" method for most injects, but there are some sites you just can't reach.. ...Thanks for sharing the info edmen2, 1/10 cc should make a nice "cap" without any problems( for an im inject)..

I often use 1.5" for the delts. I just dont push the pin in all the way. Works for me; however, sometimes I get scared that i may be just above a vein and that the needle may go down a bit while i push the plunger.

I know what you mean.....and don't it make a pretty gusher when ya do nick a vein.....

Use the z method, pull the skin to the side and inject. also leave the pin in after you are finished injecting for a few seconds.
