    Pain on my Pec???

Today while doing incline bench press with the smith machine I think I tore a pec mucsle on my left side. I felt a pop as I was going up. I can feel the pain right in front of my arm pit. I did a light warm up before I hit the heavy weight. I tried lowering the weight but even with light weight I felt the pain in my left pec/shoulder. Do you think I should have the doc check it out or should I give it a couple days and see how it feels. What can I do to heal this as soon as possible. I'm on on last weeks of 75mg Fina/ed, 50mg Winny/ed and 400mg EQ/week if it matters.

IF you tore it, it would have immediatly swelled up and looked like a nasty ass bruise. Most likely you strained it, i would rest it for a week or 2 and see how it feels. If your pec starts to look discolored or become very painful though, go to the doc ASAP.

Well the area is not bruised of swelled up so I will give it a couple days and see how it looks. I'm taking glucosimine, Ibprofin, and have a heat pad on it. Should I stay off the weight completely or just the chest and shoulders.

U could have minorly tore it but my bet is u strained some of the tendons and ligaments that connec ur pec to ur shoulder area, take rest, and stretch proprelly and if the pain continues proceed to have a othropidic specialist check it out.
