What are the differences between steroidal and non-steroidal aromatase inhibitors? Some of the diffenences I've found so far:
-They both significantly decrease the amount of plasma estrogen but steroidal AIs bind to the aromatase enzyme just like testosterone would (suicide inhibition) to keep test from binding.
-Unlike non-steroidal AIs, steroidal AIs actually help your lipid profile (which I don't understand since they both decrease estrogen).
-Steroidal AIs significantly decrease the amount of SHBGs.
These differences all seem like good things but this is all I could find. Are there any differences that make using a steroidal AI a bad choice when compared to non-steroidal?
