Eggs whites: raw or cooked?
Hey guys..I consume egg whites both raw and cooked throughout the day, just wondering if there is a difference in nutrition? Which one do you think is better?

Dont think so, raw just makes you more susceptible to the germs from eggs, like salmonella, cooked takes that risk away..

I was told that your body has a harder time digesting raw eggs. So if you do eat them raw you may not get as much nutrion out of them as if you would have cooked them

Cook your egg whites. Why take the risk eating them raw.

Eating raw egg whites can deplete your bodies biotin!:
"
* Although clinical deficiency of biotin is rare, it can occur from prolonged consumption of raw egg whites, which contains the biotin-binding protein, avidin. Avidin is destroyed by cooking. Deficiency can also occur from long-term total parenteral nutrition, a genetic defect in the biotin-dependent enzymes, or from malabsorption syndromes such as short-gut syndrome.
* Some signs of biotin deficiency are:
o dry, scaly skin
o nausea
o anorexia
o seborrheic dermatitis
o alopecia (hair loss)
o conjunctivitis
o neurological abnormalities
