    AS and inflammation

I've got a question in to DocM on this but here goes:

do AS increase or decrease inflammation in the body? I'm talking about tennis elbow, inflamed nerve in cervical disk, etc.

I know that corticosteroids reduce inflammation but these are not the same.

Strength gains of AS may aggravate tendonitis but I have not read anything about it actually inflaming the tendon. Some AS will dry out the joints which will also further aggravate the condition. Good question though and I'll let an MD or other medical personell on here say for sure.

I did PM Doc but other views are helpful. I'm thinking that what may be happening is that the AS is pumping up the muscles which are then unnaturally tight and compressing the disk and irritating the muscle sheath. Anyone else experience something similar?
