Rant - Ignorant Doctors who lecture

Hi, I went to the doctors today because I wanted to check my levels and bp etc, as I had finished my last cycle about 5 weeks ago (Prop and Winny), I was weary of telling the doctor that I had used gear but it's already on my record I just hadn't seen this particular doctor before. Anyway, I've been feeling dizzy recently and thought to rule out anything to do with roids I'd get a blood test ect, I decided to tell the doctor I did a cycle - BIG MISTAKE! He went absoloutely f**king bezerk at me, going on about "it's gonna kill you and your liver and kidneys are riuned" he claimed he knew what he was talking about because he's seen 2 people die from roid abuse and one of them was quote "taking only 10mg of test per day" I thought, what the hell are you talking about. I was in there for about 15 minutes and the whole time he was rude and abusive towards me, why should I have to put up with that? I went there for help and all I get is a load of abuse, I hate these doctors who think they know it all he told me he'd done this and that qualification and studied so and so about steroids at university..........so what?? The most rediculous thing was that he's put I'm a steroid abuser on my permenant record and told me I will never be able to get life insurance or buy a house because I've used steroids. By the way he didn't even ask me what I was using and at what doseage, just said "anything thats not precribed is abuse", then said "where do you get them"? like I'm going to tell him. Stupid thing is, if I was a binge drinker like most of this country and I ate currys and fast food etc and I went to the doctors, I'd get no lecture and no abuse because it's common and people just laugh about it, but because it's roids everyone automatically thinks your dead if you've used 1mg of the weakest steroid. I actually felt like winding him up and saying "I'm gonna be doing Growth Hormone, IGF-1 and Insulin next too" lol I think HE would have had a heart attack. He took my bp and it was 150/70 - I know its a bit high but I've got a lot of stress in my life at the moment so I would relate high bp to that, of course he blamed the roids, like everything is blamed on them.

I've got an appointment to see a different doctor on monday, can anyone tell me what I should say or how I can tell the doctor I use gear WITHOUT them going crazy at me?

I don't think that he can legally write his OPINION on your medical records. Saying that you are a steroid abuser is his OPINION. He has ZERO grounds to diagnose you as such. He sounds like an arrogant & ignorant doc who is trying to scare you into stopping the use of AAS. I would just find another doc and forget you ever met that prick.

It is always best to get baseline tests done before a cycle and then go to the SAME doc and get tested after a cycle. No need to even tell him what you are doing. If he wants to speculate, so be it.

You are allowed to request a blood test just for the simple reason you want to know things are okay in your body. The doc shouldn't refuse. After all he makes a little skrill from blood tests too.

doctors have no right to do that, he is supposed to help, not make u feel like your life is over. of course it isnt!!

if you tell the next doctor and he/she says the same sort of thing, just leave. u dont have to put up with it, your there for their help and advice, not a lecture like ur a child whos stolen a sweet!

they might think they know what theyr tlkn bout but they have general idea-steroid r bad. they are taught that abusing steroids is bad, but they never get shown that they arent always bad!

It's hit or miss on Docs bro....some understand and some don't. This clown I wouldn't visit again. You might want to bone up on the knowlege to help you speak intellegently with the doctor when/if they object. My doc started right off the bat about all the bad things AS does until I asked how much real knowlege did he have to base his argument....turns out he knew most about it from what he read in the news. Of course he understood the mechanics behind how they worked but he couldn't come up with factual testing done in a lab. After a long discussion I guess I kind of proved to him I knew what I was talking about and that I wasn't a complete idiot and would be pouring things into my body with no reguards to my health. Hence the reason I was there was so I would know for certain I wasn't heading in the wrong direction and hurting myself more than I was helping it.

Also, what does this guy think HRT is? He cries it's bad for you and it will kill you.....but then another doctor can prescribe AS to men with low test levels......doctors are people just like everyone else....some don't see anything wrong with it as long as it's under doctors care.....and others are just dead set against it.

Find another doc.

If you work out at the local gym ask around for a doc who's knowleable and tolerant of steroid use. I found one who writes nothing down when it comes to my AAS use. He uses juice himself. On occasion he will do a light test & deca cycle. Although he says one of the most important thing is moderation and time off in between cycles.

I think I'll do that, my gym is quite local (the next town) so maybe someone there knows a good doctor, the only problem is, I'm not sure I'm going to be allowed to change surgeries because of areas. Just wondering if anyone thinks my dizziness is related to the last cycle I did, anyone had this before? Also I would'nt mind some feeback on my next proposed cycle please, it is as follows:-

Test Prop 100mg ED wks 1-4 and 12-15
Test Cyp 500mg P/W wks 1-12
Deca 400mg P/W wks 1-10
Winny 50mg ED wks 10-15
LR3 IGF-1 50mcg's ED PWO Bilaterally, wks1-4, 9-12 and 17-20

PCT - not too sure on, need help on this

Nolvadex on hand if I need it and then 20mg wks 17-20
HCG 3000iu's every 5 days, wks 15-18
Vit B6 200mg ED wks 1-22
Vit B12 500mcg wks 1-22

Any help is appreciated and if changes need to be made or the whole thing needs to be re-done thats fine, I've not bought anything yet.

You pay the doctor, he works for you simple as that. Patient confindentiality or he can be sued, also request your medical records as you want copies, you will have to pay but you can see what he has written.

I had a doc ask me why in one year I look like a line-backer. I just said I cannot stop eating, and even though I work out I cant stop putting on weight. Then I asked for weight loss pills(which I knew he wouldn't give me), that stop the questions and backpedaling started "you look good" "its better to be big & healthy than skinny".

You have the right to get copies of your records...just ask the receptionist before you leave and she will take care of ya. Mine cost me $25 and I had them before I left the office.

Whatever he puts on his records does not matter if you do not go back. No one will ever see those records unless you tell them you have records there. No way he can stop you from getting a house or insurance. I once had a doctor that did not even no what anadrol was? I broke a rib and it punctured my liver alittle, while I was on anadrol, so enzymes went sky high, the doc, accussed me of being an alcholic, I don't even drink. My doctor now is the best. He has used them and is very knowledgeable. he put my dad on genotropin, only because it was the only one his insurance would pay for. he always gives me the hcg when I need it. I would never ask him to prescribe me roids. Besides he could only give you so much, It would not be enough to even matter, and it is no cheaper. The only thing he ever preaches about is that you only drink water and cranberry juice during cycle, and you always use pct. he also says to keep the semen flowing always clean out the pipes, he never seems to worry about the possibility of infertility, he says natural test will always come back, it just comes back faster and easier if you use proper pct, and clean the pipes so your body will always be producing semen. Just my 2 cents, keep looking and you will find a cool doctor, Check around the sports orthepedic ans spine specialists and rehab centers for injuries. My doc, does a lot of work in that area also. That is were the cool docs are in sports medicine.

There is no such thing as a "permenant record" besides your criminal record if you have one, and your credit record. Most doctors offices will destroy records if the patient doesn't visit after several years.

Don't worry about that moron. He's a private practice family doctor probably because he doesn't know his $hit enough to be in a hostpital.

Doctors are retarded. My friend is 230 shredded and a doc told him he was overweight. That's why I don't even go to the doctors anymore.

Actually this is not true. When you apply for life insurance, they require you to put down the doctors you have used in the past X number of years. THey then run an insurance check on your social security number to see what claims have been filed on that number. If you used insurance with this doc, it will show up for at least the next decade I believe. THey then send requests to all docs on the list for medical records.

As for mortgage, etc. thats a load of cr#p. All they care about are your assets and credit score.

The original poster is English. Since they have state-provided health care, called the NHS, they may have some record-sharing infrastructure. Maybe a UK member can advise on what gets collected and where it goes, but it doesn't help him to tell him how records are kept and shared in the US.

mouth shut Iam in and out for blood work only. if there is something low or way to elivated we talk but
thats where it stays. I have also been told they Doc's work for you not the other way around but I still yet
to find one that does.

What insurance company? I live in the UK, its free. Only costs if you go private.

This doctor is an idiot… He may have a medical degree but still an idiot! It does no good to yell or treat someone like sh!t when they are doing something you personally disagree with. If this doc truly cared he would have been more understanding and offered a follow up visit with intent to help. However, this guy just was an a$$ who probably just became a doc for status and money.

My advice would be get another doc…

Hi, my cycle history is, I've done 6 cycles. First was d-bol and sus, second was sus and deca, third I think I used Test Enanthate, Boldanone, Masteron and Tren. Last two have just been Test Prop and Winny. I've put on a lot of size from the first cycle but nowadays I dont seem to be getting anywhere with the gear, thats why I decided to use some IGF-1 aswell. I just want to do a cycle that works for me and that gives me some quality gains really.

So I would be ok with just Nolva, Clomid and HCG then?

A lot of this information is flat out Bu11 Sh1t. If you go to trial for something mid-size to large your medical records (all of them) can and will be found. If you admit to a MD that you are on roids then YOU have admitted it and he can and is responsible for noting this on your chart. Trust me! I just finished a LONG court case and all of the shat I thought I hid came to the surface the, SOB attorneys found it.
If you can swing it, you can find a MD to go to and use a fictitious name. Some MD's will do this, some won't. If you are concerned enough about the ramifications this is one of the better ways to handle it.

what he was saying was completely ludicrous, not to mention the fact that he is not allowed by law to do that. what if you came in and told the doc that you had smoked a J a few months back and now you are having headaches.... he in no way has the authority to blacklist you from life insurance for such a thing. my suggestion would be go and see a doc at a walk in clinic, they are usually more accepting of such things. tell him that you would like to put in a complaint about the doctor that did that to you. he should be able to give you some advice.

I had the last word, as I was leaving he was STILL going on about his qualifications so I just said so what, you've got qualifications they don't mean anything, you've had no life experience and know nothing about bodybuilding, then slammed his door and proceeded to make a formal complaint about him at the front desk.

Believe it or not it was a Business case. There were some health issues tho.

thats what sucks about our society, is this anti-steroid morale thats going around.. and to back up their feelings against steroids the exploit freak accidents like people dying from tiny dosages... you can die from taking 1 aspirin too! its happend to people... very rarily though

i think a lot of the skinny guys out there who criticize guys who juice are just jelous of the big guys having the gains... and are afraid of using the steroids themselves

steroids arent very dangerous when used correctly

Alright Man, I completely understand about the docs. I believe the blood pressure AND the dizziness is from anxiety/stress. Off cycle my bp is usually right up there with you, from anxiety. AND anxiety/stress can cause dizziness, irratibility, stomach disorders and alot of other bad stuff. Notice that your TOP number of your BP is high but your BOTTOM is completely normal. Your top number fluctuates more than anything from emotions, stress and anxiety. That top number can go sky high if there is enough stress. If I were you I would find a way to process that stress (breathing, prayer, meditation, taking some time off work or finding a quiet place to relax once or twice a day). Go and buy Relaxation Response at a book store it talks alot of stress and how BP is related to almost EVERY emotion and stress. Good Luck bro!!!

I've been looking into ways to reduce the stress/anxiety/depression and I was thinking of using some natural remedies like Homeopathy, has anyone used any before and are they effective? I don't want the doctor (the new one I'm seeing thursday) just to say here's some drugs to take to lower stress and depression, because I don't think my body needs any more drugs at the moment, I want to be totally clean for a few months. I'm also thinking about starting Wing Chun (Kung-Fu) to relax.

Hi, just a follow up to my previous posts about this. I went to another doctor today and she was very helpful, she took some blood and said I should get the results by the end of the week. She said that she could prescribe me some anti-depressants but I said that I wanted to be clean of any sort of medication or drugs for the moment. She said that Homeopathy and Acupuncture are good and proven ways to reduce stress and help with depression.
