Shooting trouble

Hey guys,

Just have question, hope someone out there knows the answer.
My friend did shot of winny in his right shoulder. I don't know what went wrong, but he has lump in his shoulder...

It's been a week now and he bit worried why is not going away.
Did anyone have same mishap, what should he do ?

did he use alcohol pads to wipe and clean the injection site? how about the vial? winny might give you some swelling but more than a week I would start to have concerns as well. Is it red, or hot, or a rash present?

Slightly red...and it hurts him. I thought maybe he did not shoot deep enough.

Or maybe its infected because the lack of sterile procedures.

Is it gonna go away by itself ?

He will probably have to go to the doctor. Tell him if he asks about injection it was vitamin B-12. If it abcesses he will have to get it drained, anti infective such as flagyl will more than likely be prescribed.
