    How deep is deep enough?

    I usually leave .5 cm of the pin out of my leg i dont know y but mainly i always hit nerves going deeper. Is this ok?

    You need to go in 1in in the quad... i leave just enough out in case it breaks off i will have something to get a hold of

    There are a couple factors..........length of your pin and BF.

    I have very low BF, and i usually leave .5 cm out of the leg also, and i use 1" pins.

    You need to bury the pin. 1.5" and you won't have to worry about an abcess.

    If your in the right area nerves wont matter! But I was told the deeper the better Ive only put 1.5 in the glutes and quads!

    The lateral stress it takes to break a pin off is insane. Try it.

    I use 5/8" for the outside quad and go all the way in. I use 1" for the top/outer quad and go 90% in. Never had any probs whatsoever.
