help need some info stuck with dirty slin pin at work

hey guy i was at work last night (walgreens drug store) and got stuck with a dirty slin pin. they gave me an antiviral drug called combivir it has a mad list of sides a long with being very toxic to the liver luckily i'm not on a cycle
im just tring to get some info from u guy i'm pretty worried!

They should have already set down procedures and make him wear gloves when handling medication until he checks out.

i was stuck when i was taking out the trash some sick fuk must have left there pin in the trash
they took blood and are running hep and aids test but i won't know the results for a day or two

thats shltty bro! i dont think theres much to do except wait til u get the results back, just make sure and take the meds they gave u. the sides from the meds will b much better than sides of hep or somethin else nasty u could've gotten.

Starting antiviral meds right away. you should not have anything to worry about as far as HIV is concerned... I know from working in the ER That starting people on some kind of a antiviral is a common thing for people that get stuck with pins or in cases where condoms break during sex. in most cases they will make you run the antiviral for a 2-3 weeks even if your HIV test comes back neg. just for precautionary reasons. Hope all works out for you bro..

I'll put it to you this way, blah-blah,....my mother was a nurse in a psychiatric hospital...she was bitten by an HIV-positive patient,the bite was deep enough to draw blood and she had to take several tests, etc. ...6 years afterwards, she was still fine as far as STD's and communicable diseases....

bro dont get get worked up to much the worst that will prolly come of it is the antivirals will give you the sh**S... They should not affect your liver for the short period of time your on them..
