Dr.Evil !!! DNP Question
Dr. Evil,
You seem to be the resident expert on DNP , I have done some reasearch on this subject and I am getting conflicting data as to whether long cycles of DNP (30-days and longer) cause the thyroid to shut down, or have problems? Is this true? even if the dosages are kept relativley low, say between 200-400mgs per day?

thyroid can not shut down for good. it's an urban legend. your thyroid slows due to a little excessive heat, but not due to excessive exogenous t3 (from pills). this will put your thyroid into overdrive as soon as you're off of dnp .
if you have a long cycle of dnp you will not run into problems with your thyroid, but keep the doses low so that it will be tolerable and safe for the extended period of time.

there is no way of knowing how long is safe. people in the 1930s were on it continuously for years with no problems for the most part except for the ones who overdid it.
