Does Size Really Matter? My girlfriend says it does
Good my title got you in here. Now Im talking about needle size (not what you were expecting?), I use 22g 1.5 inch, everybody here says 25g or similar, and draw with 22g. Is the pain that much less with a 25g, it cant be that smaller, 22g is already pretty small.

25g is like a little pin prick... if your going to be taking a lot of shots why would u use something larger if a 25g works. I use 25g and it feels like nothing

if you start shooting up enough you'll learn the hard way. u'll build up a lot more scar tissue and a lot faster with a 22g as opposed to a 25g. and pushing threw scar tissue hurts like a mofo

yes 25 would work for prop, but not dbol , because you dont inject dbol.

Loeffler makes inj. dbol but I can't imagine why you'd shoot that when you can drink it.

Did I miss something here. I made a thread about needle size and 99% told me to shoot with a 23 gauge 1.5 inch. Am I missing something here now? All of a sudden 25 gauge is everyones primary choice.

Maybe I should make a poll between 23 g 1.5 and 25 g 1.5 for the glutes.

I use 23g from gotpinz. I think the brand matters more than the size from what ive read. many brands arent nearly as sharp. I swear the 23g is absolutely painless. I mean it when I say I dont feel it go in.
Btw, I shoot the glute only, so far at least

All I use is 22 G 1.5.
I dont like how hard I have to push on the plunger with a 25 GLast edited by Geeezer; 02-26-2005 at 09:12 PM.

There is not that much difference between 23g and 25g. 25g are just a little smaller in diameter. That's what i buy, Terumo 25g...JMO

For the longest time I have used 22's for drawing and shooting but just recently started to draw using 22's and shoot with 25's. Starting to get some scar tissue in my favorite spots. I would definatley suggest always using the smallest pin size that flows your gear. Scar tissue sucks.

Gauge: The smaller the gauge, the thicker the needle. An 18g is much thicker than a 22g.
before you inject, read this as it might help you and whats so bad about injecting steroids in a blood vessels(''oh yeah instant death might be the case but ''RARE'' it does happen)
What is aspiration?
To aspirate is to withdraw fluid with a syringe. More specifically, after inserting the needle, pulling back on the plunger of the syringe for a few seconds to see if the needle is in a blood vessel. Rarely, this will be the case and a bit of blood will fill the syringe. If this happens the needle should be removed, replaced with a new one, and another injection site should be used. And yes, if there is a little blood in your syringe, it is ok to inject it along with your steroid once you have found a different spot..........it's your own blood isn't it?
When aspirating, nothing should come back into the syringe if you are in the right spot. Pulling back on the plunger will create a vacuum in your syringe. The oil cannot expand to fill that space, but any air bubbles in your syringe will. You may notice the tiny bubbles getting bigger and bigger as you pull back. They will return to normal size as you release the plunger. If the air bubbles do not disappear upon releasing the plunger, you have an air leak most likely caused by the needle not being screwed onto the syringe tightly enough, although on very rare occassions, the syringe or needle itself can be defective. Either way, purge the air bubbles out, put a new needle on and try it again.
Do I really need to aspirate?
Those who inject without aspirating are taking unnecessary chances. Sweating, nausea, dizziness, severe coughing, breathing difficulties, anaphylactic shock, coma or death can all result from not aspirating. Most of the time, steroid users experience dizziness and coughing fits when they inject into a blood vessel. But you need to be aware of the dangers of neglecting this simple technique that should take about 3-5 seconds of your time.
