Users with wife or kids should have one of these...

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...duct_id=882239

Just picked it up from Walmart. Feel a lot better about having it in the house now. Not up front with my significant other (g/f) and dont plan to be for at least a while. Gives me peace of mind all the way around.

Obviously not a super secure box, but enough to keep honest people out

Reason I said keeps 'honest' people out is that its pretty easy to obtain a key. Check out their website. There should be a 3 digit code where the lock is...you can simply reorder a key

I have like 3-4 of them around my house so if someone breaks in they will grab the first one they see to take it home to find out theres nothing but newspaper in it..
I keep my gear in a real safe in my floor, where me and the locksmith know where it's at...Great "honest" safes if you can trust everyone around your house like you said...
But I don't trust anyone....They are nice cheap decoy...God forbid someone gets my
    juice in mid cycle....

You can order a new one. There is a code on the lock that allows you to order one. So yes, techically anyone with the time and access to your safe can get into it, but anyone with that determination will just steal the safe and break it open anyways
