forgot to wipe down top of vile...

i forgot to wipe the top of the vile with an alcohol swab... i knw that this increases the chances that i will get an infection, however, nothing has touched the vile since my last shot, so is it still likely that i will get an infection???

i guess a bottle... 10ml...

i've whiped it down every time so far... but this time i forgot b/c i'm an ass... but i just wanted to know if this would compramise the sterility of the rest of the bottle (about 4 ml left)... i also wanted to know if it was likely taht i would get an infection, seeing as how i havent touched it since my list inejction...

Just whipe it down next time. Chances are you will be OK if you have whipped it down every time before. Unless you keep it in an area that collects a lot of dust, etc, etc....

no it doesnt collect dust... if i do end up getting an infection from it, which i guess is likely, should i just toss the rest of the bottle... or vial... or whatever it's called?

that being said, i've had a bottle fall on he rug and inject right from it directly after it cus i ran out of alcohol and i was fine.

It's a good idea but I've never wiped a bottle. Old school befrore the net and all this good info was available. I would do it now. I'd guess I have about 1000+ shots without wipes in me with no infections though. But i do wipe now but I wouldn't panick about it.

It's a sanitary issue. You can do like a billion shots without wipeing the bottle down and not get an infection. Same can be said for wipeing down the bottle. You just run a higher risk of getting an infection from some foreign germ on it.

I never used to swab up before, but now I do just because I'm a little more health concious then I was when I was a little lad in my 20's.

Lol youll be fine bro, i never wipe down the bottle or my skin before i inject. You would have to wipe for about 5 minutes in order for the alcohol to kill all the viruses on it, then you would have to wipe your skin for about that long too.

Ive never seen a nurse wide down the top of a vial before injecting.

Swabbing the injection site and vial top kills enough germs, etcetera to make the needle insertion points sterile enough for safety.

If you haven't gotten an infection yet, then you've been lucky, or you've been injecting after a shower.

If you want to get an infection, try injecting after a nice long day of sweating.

All jokes aside, it's NOT a good idea to skip the alcohol cleansing steps for the vial top and the skin. Just because you've become comfortable skipping that step doesn't mean it's a safe thing to do.

Holy sh*t I have never even once wiped a vial top down. In fact I never once gave it a second thought. I have shot prop and NPP everyday for 32 weeks combined and never even had a lump. Apparently its not wise but I have never had an issue for whatever reason. Guess maybe I should put those complimentary swabs from *** to good use.

My first cycle i used 3 needels for the whole cycle(used them about 6 times each)and didnt sterilize it once...Thats plain stupid i know but all i want to say is that if you forgot it once its no need to worry....but then again one time is enough to get infected....bottom line dont worry too much about things, be safe

Indica that has got to be the dumbest thing that I have ever heard. Why in the hell would you use any needle more than one time. Just plain stupid, I know that all of my cycles have not be perfect, but I never used the same needle more than one time. To answer the question though, you should be alright(no infection) I forgot to wipe the top of the vial once, no big deal, but if something does happen go see a doctor.

i have never wiped the top of a vilal but i do change the needle after all the juice is in the syringe im sure that way its not blunt and you know its clean..... greenies for the sucking up and blues for the injection into the thigh.........

EatRite, I don't think you have anything to worry about... I don't wipe down the top of my vial too often and I had the same thing happen that bdtr did were I dropped the vial and stuck the pin in, withdrew, and then injected anyways...
