Do steroids cause permanent loss of test level
I know that a temporary supression of the hypothalomohypophysial testicular axis occurs, but how about long term? Will a few well spaced cycles of Deca and Test. no more than 1G combined, have a deleterious effect? I hate to think that all those stories about bodybuilders being on a permanent hormonal therapy are true!

in some people even an 8 week cycle is enough to effect the hpt-axis permanently. in most people it won't, but the longer the cycle the greater risk you have of permanently effecting your endocrine.

I'm curious about this as well, is there any predisposition that can be determined through medical tests? Or must one just bite the bullet and hope for the best and use low dosages to get a gauge (which would be a good idea even after the tests, if indeed they are an effective way of determining a predisposition to an easily damaged endocrine) Thanks

A lot of things have a permanent influence on you HPTA. Vasectomy to name one has been implemented in a lot of early andropause cases (guess what I had). AAS use not just abuse may shut you down for good, but nowadays there are a lot of good urologists and endocrinologists that will help you either by attempting to restore your test production or by supplementing you for live.
Face it people, low test has become very prevalent, the environmental toxins (add AAS to that) have a very profound effect on your HPTA and a lot of people (not just athletes) suffer from this affliction.

Talk to some poeple that went to Desert Storm or their family members. Many suffer from the environmental toxins they where exposed to.
Mr Nobody I appreciate your post .
Thanks

Man, these anwsers really scare me away from a first cycle. Maybe its not worth it after all. I'll rather be moderately large and have high endogeneous test. levels than a temporate increase in size and strenght followed by a crash. If I do decide upon a Ttokkyo Deca cycle, would you say its better to preload 450mg for 4weeks followed by 4 weeks at 300mg, or 300mg for 10 weeks straight. Also would a low dose of TEst. 200-250mg a week require novaldex or HCG ?
