Where did you check it ? If it was Wallmart or some other kind of public outlet its may not be a reliable read. Go to the Doc and get them to check it or buy an automatic BP machine from a pharmacy for $50., thats what I did and they work fine. Whats your cycle look like ?

Dangerously high? Not minimizing it, but that is what mine is normally. Dangerously high is 200/120.

I don't know about "dangerous" but anything over /80 is considered high now and should be a concern. But definitely agree with SeanW -if you don't have your own monitor you should get one. You'll probably have to also order a larger cuff -if you try it with the cuff it comes with and your arms are anything over 15 inches or so it will probably be too tight to get an accurate reading. I got way high readings til I got the oversize cuff.

I have a book that is in-depth on high blood pressure. It is saying the reason doctors treat blood pressure so early is because of pressure from HMO' s and worries of lawsuits. However there is no concrete evidence that proves that treating blood pressure under 180/110 lowers incidence of stroke/heart attack. In fact some medications have raised the occurence of fatal heart attacks vs. non-fatal ones.

Hypertension is classified as an elevation of 30mm Hg of the systolic(top number) or 15mm Hg of the diastolic(bottom number) from your baseline blood pressure. If this is true in your case go see a doctor, you may need to be prescribed some meds. In the hospital setting, a short term elevation is treated with clonidine, the criteria is an elevation of either systolic or diastolic that is over 160/100.

On gear my pressure goes up a bit. Normally Im in the 120/70 range, but on cycle it goes to 140/7x.
Still feel great with no problems. Should it shoot too 200/90 or thereabouts, I'd worry....
If you're concerned, get off cycle. If you're not on a cycle, and you get skyrocketing BP, see a doc!
