Do you think it takes years off of your life?

exercising, eating & sleeping right, staying away from alcohol and cigarettes add years to your life.

Would you rather drive a Honda civic for 150,000 miles or a Ferrari for 50,000. I choose the Ferrari.

I dont know why this question was even asked on this board. I mean, do you think even 10% of the members on here would answer that question with negative regard? This is a STEROID forum. I'm not trying to flame anyone, but what do you think if you went on some "MD" forum (stupid i know, just making a point) and asked the same question, you'd have most doctors telling you that any "non doc. perscribed" anabolic steroid use is very risky. This thread seems to be more about if you care that it takes off years rather than IF it does; and everyone has their own life to risk. It just gets complicated when other people's lives are affected, especially when family and loved ones find out and put you on a big guilt trip, as in my case. True, through the media and every other possible way, the general public has a huge misconseption of how bad juice is for you, just like how every pit bull is gonna kill some baby. It's pretty ****ty how a few uneducated/stupid fukrs can sway the public's perception of something so easily, when it's almost impossible to reverse it. I don't believe steroids are as bad as many people claim, but you know they can't be good, espcially for the old heart. I really can't talk, I've done so much stupid **** that's going to bite me in the ass in the end. I guess the one point I'm trying to make is that it's more than just YOU, that sticking that pin in ur ass is goin to affect in 30 years...if roids do end up cutting your life short. Live your life to what your conscience will allow.

They have no idea. Takes off ur life???? no one knows when they gonna die. Its already decided from the one above. U can get hit by a car, U can get shot in friendly fire, U can die in a wrestling match (saw this in highschool wrestling) or just in old age. I knoe of people who died before their grandparents of "Natural death"

You can't compare that to steroid use. Thats like saying a coke addicts fate has already been determined, why not snort another line, Fuk it. And no, I'm not comparing AS to cocaine in terms of negative effects. Just a way of saying you can control in a large part, your own fate by you own rational decisions. True?

I do not take nor really know a low about steroids and other drugs that would be placed in their category. However, I have to wonder...when people say there is no proof they are harmful, is it (a) because the proof is on the opposite side or (b) because they are not tested on humans due to ethical constraints. If the answer is "b" then don't gloss over this.

Here's a hypothetical question.
What if you didn't want to get any taller (6'1 is big enough 4 me), get any bigger naturally, know how to train+eat right and are under 23. Would it really matterif you juiced?
Like many people say, i'd prefer to look good now while im still young rather than worry about getting old and grey.
keep in mind- only hypothetical

There is a bigger risk for using aas when you are younger, but who can say if it will take years off of your life. only the great man upstairs knows this one.

bro just do a search for teens and juicing. there is tons of info. I am going to start my first cycle soon and i will only be 20 so i have researchin my a** off to find ways to prevent me from experiencing problems. But the way i look at it in my case is that i don't plan on juicing past the age of 25 so i think if i do well planned and proper cycles that i should be ok, but that is something that i decided for myself. If your finished growing in terms of height, then i dont see how a 20 year old ,like myself, is any more susceptable to sides from steroids than a 30 year old.

I also spent ages researchin these, coz like you i was really worried about sides like hairloss,gyno, being able to father children when im older, my liver and so on.For sides, if this helps, use tamoxifen for gyno, milk thistle for your liver, hcg in case of testicular atrophy(but your balls wont shrink if ya do a 'nice and gentle' cycle)and clomid & tamoxifen for pct. Use proscar if your worried about your hair(ie. mpb).I amnt susceptable to mpb genetically (god i hope so anyway :rolleyes: ), but ya can use stuff like dutasteride or proscar to reduce dht levels from test.

What cycle are ya plannin?

i am planning just test e for 500mgs a week at 10 weeks.

I think if you take care of your body and keep it healthy you might not nessisarily live longer but you will definitly live better.

I am sure drinking and smoking and breathing in all the good pollution we produce adds about 5-10 years of quality life. :cool:

I had the honor and privelidge to see him teach a seminar a whiel back and there was this guy rolling with him, the guy was taking it easy on him cuz he was so old, ...you know what the old man did? He slapped him in the face and told him to go hard! And he is 95 or 97 years old.

Not to mention the fact that you dont know when you will die, you could croak before you read the next post. So live life the right way and be proud of how you lived and what you have done!

I dont know what steroids will do to you, but I am sure there are a lot of things out there that doctors give us that are just as bad for the body!

It probable is just a matter of if you abuse steroids or not and how well you take care of you health and if you juice smart.

I have said it many times and I'll say it again...

The person that started at 30 is going to be a lot healthier and [probably] live longer than the one that started at 20, based soley on the fact that he has juiced for a shorter length of time.

and therefore, from your logic, God has already planned if you will take steroids or not then hasnt he. So you are not really choosing anything so dont worry about it.

so pretty much if r willing to accept that u wont grow taller etc, the main risk taking roids @ a young age <23 would be lowering your natural test levels for the rest of your life once u stop?

Could someone post a link to confirm that your natural test levels would be diminished for the rest of your life after a 10 week cycle because your under 23. You wont experience testicular atrophy on a cycle like mine or the one getbig888 posted, and even if ya do you can use hcg. Do proper pct and youll be back to normal

IMO you are right, but there is no way of knowing if you will be back to normal. I have used all kinds of prohormones that shut me down hard, but after a while i was back to normal so i feel if i do this properly that i will be back to normal after pct. I wish i could get blood work done so i would know for sure.

you can 98% of the time get yourself back to normal, but i have seen some cases that have taken FOREVER! like im talking about 8 month pct for some homeostasis levels.

Studies are coming out that show that test replacement actually slows down the aging process, increases energy, sex drive, and strength. For responsible users, with or without a doctor's guidance, AAS use typically goes hand in hand with a low-fat diet and proper exercise program.
I think we will see more test therapy in men in the future because men are realizing that this is a lot better than medicating themselves with Prozac, Viagra, Oxycontin, and Ritallin. And I think men will live longer because of it, if administered properly.

these are good points. I am definately going to use the sauce when i am older, but i have competitions and so forth coming up that i know i will need to juice for and i am only 20 years old. I am just debating on whether or not i am too young to juice, I know yall think so but physically i am big enough for it. I just don't know about the deal with my endocrine system and such. Height is not of concern for me but i definately wanna be able to have kids when i am older.

This makes the most sense so far. I am 49, been on since I was 43 (cycling I mean of course). I am almost twice as strong as I was at 26, feel like I did at 35, maybe better, and yeah, it beats the **** outta Viagra.... it fixes it all at the hormone level where it should be fixed. And except that the extra mass has pushed up the blood pressure so I got to be on pressure pills that is it for health effects. But that runs in my familly anyhow. No bad health effects, but the increase in the quality of life is incredible, a far bigger boost than for you young dudes. I can't see myself ever going off completely, I think I will be on at 70 if it is still making this large a percent difference. Granted I realize I won't be where I am now, but I bet I will still be feeling 10x better than most at 70.

My relatives own a senior home to take care of the elderly, these people are on tons of scripts for their "Quality of Life Y'all'. G o tell them they aren't geting their meds or their asses wiped today

How exactly can you prove that it takes years off your life without knowing how long you would have lived otherwise? Maybe it actually added years, or had no affect whatsoever.
