Anavar reversing liver damage???
Hey guys,
I read somewhere that anavar was sometimes prescribed to alcoholics to reverse liver damage caused from drinking. Also it was prescribed for aids/cancer patients that have had sudden extreme weight loss in a short time. Is this true and if so can anybody post a link to this information? I know anavar is an oral alk-17 so it's hard on the liver but in certain cases it was sometimes prescribed to reverse liver damage. I looked at the anavar profile on this site and didn't really find anything about it being prescribed. My girlfriends dad is an alcoholic with these symptoms(liver damage, excessive weight loss). I was wondering if anavar could help. I wanted to be sure before I recommended him to ask his doctor about it.
Thanks fellaz

no. but talk to a doc about that. liver damage is a serious thing, taken too lightly here.

I don't know the answer to your question either, but I did find these threads that might be of some interest or help:
Title: Anabolic Review Profile: Anavar (Oxandrolone)

Title: Going to ask about anavar alone? READ THIS FIRST

Both have some good information about Var. Dflood refers to it being used to assist recovering alcoholics as a treatment, but no idea where the source of that information is. Maybe contact him. Sorry I can't help more.

Hey fellaz,
Thanks for taking the time to help. You bros on here have once again come through with info I needed. Not sure if the var will help him but maybe it's worth him mentioning to his doctor. He's down to like 105 lbs. If he doesn't get help for the alcoholism, I don't think anything will help him. He's getting old and stubborn so I doubt he'll ever stop.
But anyways, thanks again guyz. That was the info I was looking for.
