My first cycle: I need help
Age: 22
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 180-185 lbs.
Body Fat: 13%
Experience: 2 years lifting experience;
have NEVER ran any kind of an AS cycle.
Goal: I want to add a little size but lean-out too.
Concerns: Side effects, gyno especially, scare the s%@t out of me!
Ok, here are my stats. My primary focus is to lean-out while maintaining my lean muscle mass; if I could gain some size while doing this, great. I really want to run winstrol but I dont know when, or even if, I should. Anyway, any help would be really appreciated. I really want to do this, I just want to do it right. Thanks a head of time guys.

diet and cardio lean you out, not gear. First cycle 500mg/wk of test e 10-12 weeks followed by proper PCT.

How will test effect my ability (harder, easier, no change) to cut fat?

test won't effect your ability cut fat. it will help your body retain muscle while you cut fat.

I really appreciate the fast feedback guys! Anyway, do you guys think maybe running test e for 6 weeks and then adding winni for the last 6 weeks of a 12-week cycle would be effective and safe enough for a first-timer?

test e need to be run 10-12 weeks, not 6. It takes a while for it to kick in b/c it has to build up the levels in your blood. Stick with test on your first cycle and see how you react and gain. You can add winny next time around

You could do that but why not run the winny weeks 9-14 right before you start pct? Or kick start your cycle with winstrol (winny) the first 6 weeks to give you an edge in the beginning.

With only 2 years lifting experience and at age 22, I would reconsider doing a cycle at all.
At age 22 your nat. test levels are probably still very high. Also, at age 22 and after 2 years of lifting you have probably not reached your natural potential (not even close). I wouldn't be too eager to jump into AAS at your age/experience level. I think you should continue to eat good and be natural until your mid-20s at least.
Also, if any side effect truly scares the "s%@t" out of you, you should not do AAS.

Thanks for the info man. What do you guys think about running HGH/cytomel then? Do you think that would be a safer alternative with pretty noticeable results?

Mesomorphyl: So if I did decide to run winny with a test cycle, should I run winny the first or last six weeks? Which would benefit me more in the end, from a leanness standpoint?

First, running T3 as a safe alternative is not a safe alternative. Cytomel is a thyroid hormone. I have ran orals at the beginning and end of cycles and there are benifits to both methods... Do you want to start taking advantage of aas immediately or do you want to keep up your levels up to pct time?

I dont know. I'll just ask it this way: do you think a winny/test cycle is a relatively safe and effective first-time cycle? Also, do you think 22 is too young to start doing AAS?

Yes it is an ok first cycle, and yes 22 I personally think is too young... But with that said what is your training experience, stats(ht, wt, bf%)?

Sorry, I just re-read the first post... I think you should focus on diet and training methods to find what works for you. If you are dead set on cycling then you will do it, but do some more research. If gyno scares you, you should already know about nolvadex as and estrogen blocker in the breast tissue. If you run a 12 week test program use cypionate or enanthate for fewer injections. Run 500mg per week and run about 50mg of winny per day splitting dose twice per day. But adding size and leaning out is contradictory. Either bulk or cutt... well you could go for lean mass by fine tuning your diet and cardio but that is not loosing fat but trying not to gain fat only lean muscle. If you gained 10lbs of muscle you would in essence loose some bf% because of the lbm gain.

I dont really have any trouble losing fat. I guess, other than gyno, that main thing that concerns me about test is gaining fat. If summer wasnt coming I wouldnt care as much. Will test give a higher propencity to gain fat or bloat?
