No... that's just wrong. You can buy a box of 100 terumo 3cc syringes with 21ga 1-1/2" pins for drawing, for around $17 or a bit less. You can get a box of 100 23ga 1-1/2" pins for shooting, for about $8. That's 17 cents for the syringe and drawing pin, and 8 cents for the shooting pin... 25 cents total. How much did your gear cost? How much would having an abscess treated cost? This is chicken-shit, worrying about saving a few pennies by re-using a syringe. Don't do it. COULD you? Yeah, I guess. You could also cross a busy street blindfolded at night wearing a black ninja suit, and you would probably make it. But why would you want to?
pinz are like 35 cents.
if you cant afford new ones you shouldn't be cycling
guys if i have 22g 1.5" pins and 23g 1.25" what should i use for glutes? not much difference i know but which one??? about 14% bodyfat!
ninja suit, rotf lmao
I would go with the longer one, but I would rather have 23ga or 25ga in 1-1/2" length. I buy 21ga for drawing. They work okay... draw fairly easily and they don't tear up the stopper as bad as say a 18ga. I buy 25ga for shooting. All of my pins are 1-1/2". You can always use a pin that is too long... no reason why you have to bury it balls-deep in you when doing a site injection in a small muscle. You just stick in what you need. So you can use long pins for all shots, glutes, quads, sites. But the short ones, while useful for site injections, suck for glutes. Why buy lots of different sizes when only one is needed? So that's all I buy... 21ga on the syringe for drawing and 25ga for shooting. Only two products needed.Originally Posted by beastrg
I would not use the 1-1/4" for glutes. Yeah, it might be long enough, but I don't like "might work" when I have a "will work" handy. Use them for quads.
