accutane questions

i weigh 80 kg... im getting severe acne from cycle ( i never had problem wid acne before) accutane is very very expensive.. i can only take 10mg ed for a few weeks... can it be effective at that dose?? or should i just save the money....

i tried panoxyl and similar product.. doesn't clear it up

40mg / ed is the standard starting dose... working up to 80mg/ed in 2 months if liver values and skin dryness can stand it. 120mg is not uncommon as well, but I have never heard of higher. it is *highly* recommended that you monitor your blood levels while using accutane, no matter how much you use, especially following / during a cycle. accutane is commonly administered for 4-6 months.

if you cannot afford an appropriate dose, perhaps try one of the various cycline products - strong antibiotics that help with acne. Also, antibacterial dish soap applied directly to the skin has been shown to work (do it before bed).
