question for the mods
i'm new here and i have a few questions, i did a search and the questions i need to ask are suppose to be ask directly to a mod, but i cannot send pm's for some reason, can u guys help me? i need to know about some companies and if they're legit

From what I've heard you need to have at least 25 posts before you can use your PM's.

Yes, you need either 25 or 50. I believe it's 50 posts now actually.

I think it's a very good rule.
We'd like to have members here help/contribute as well, not just come here to take advantage of a private messaging system.

People were using the PM feature to take advantage of AR's large membership...this included anything from sources PMing our members in an attempt to deprive them of their hard earned cash to people soliciting membership for other boards.

or better yet on a more serious note, they should have a private designated section or designate knowledgable mods to do source checks only and leave everything else to a regular PM.
