    i've never used an amp opener, but i just shake the oil down first, grab the head with one set of fingers on my left and and grab the body with the other set of fingers from the other hand and bend at the neck. it's a pain in the ass. i never used amps after that cycle cuz i always feel like i'm wasting a little gear at the bottom.

    get a pen lid and snap it off... or the amp openers from getpinz are actually very nice because they have the scorer too.

    I score them with a fingernail file and then snap them of with a pen cap or just wrap it in a towel and snap it off.
