    stairoids an d strained muscle

I have a strained external oblique, and due to reinjury this has gone on for 7 months now. Obviously I can't work out and life is a drag. Currently laying on the couch with a laptop, my usual nightly strained oblique routine so please forgive any mispellings. I just started walking as a rehab.

my question is will anablic steroids help this muscle heal?

I have mentioned this to multiple doctors but they seem unwilling to go this route, not sure why. I am seeing a specialist Friday, sports medicine, and I am going to ask him. Will anabolics help? and can I get these with a prescription? Should there be a reluctance for a doctor to not do this?

thanks for your help, as you can tell I am a newb on this.

Well I just saw the doctor for the anaheim angels and he told me that anabolic steroids will not help in the he****g process (at least for me), he said it will cause water buildup (?) and other things that would not benefit me at all, and that is not what I want at this point.

So maybe I can get some help with this other issue.... He had me lay flat on my back and touch my toes twice, I told him tht i will hurt the next day, and I was right, so I was sore yesterday and today, I really do not know much about physical theripy which is where I am headed next, but how can you tell the differece between re-injuring yourself vs. rebuilding with physical therepy?

I am going to start PT next week, but the other reason I ask is that I can walk on the beach a mile but at 1.5 miles things start to hurt...?

    thaks for any help here.
