I'm planning on starting my first cycle sometime in Oct. or Nov., but I have the opportunity to get the gear soon. Since it is my first, I'm planning a test only cycle (my PCT is all lined up, no problems there). It's my understanding that since it is my first cycle, I should get good results even with lower dosage.
My question is: Should I start with a dosage of, say, 250mg per week? A nice low dosage to see how I react, and then gauge my next cycle accordingly. OR... Would I see more appreciable results from, say, 500mg per week? Test E I'm talking about here...
In other words, since it is my first, I expect to see good results. Is it worth spending the extra money now for the 500mg per week?

31 y/o
230lbs (currently kicking cardio and diet ass to get down to about 200 - 210 before I start)
6'0"
Been lifting fer'ever and I have good gym habits.
Diet has been overhauled since the beginning of this year (I started at 250lbs)!
Any opinions are much appreciated!
