Depends on where your injecting but for a first timer I would assume your injecting your glutes so I would suggest 1.5" 23g needle. The hardest part is breaking the skin bro. Once thats over just slide the needle in slow and you won't feel a thing. Make sure you aspirate as well.

These are the steps I follow for self administration.

• Switch to a new sharp needle after drawing.

• Swab the area with alcohol.

• Penetrate the skin quickly and then glide the pin in untill you reach the desired depth.

• Do not move the needle around once it is in position.

• Aspirate.

• Inject slowly.

• Massage the injection site after injection.

I use 25 gauge 1 inch pins for everything. Also I do not inject gluteus maximus. If I did a 23g 1.5" would be the needle of choice.
