Does anyone know what are the mechanisms behind this? Does B6 have any other possible benefits (like for example: if a person consumes a lot of protein that comes through shakes could B6 serve some purpose, B6 being needed in aminotransferases).??

it lowers prolactin levels that's how.
Now, how it lowers that is a bigger question....my guess would be by stimulation of the thyroid.
