abscess question

How do you know you have an abscess?
What are the signs?

Where you inject, it will be red, it hurts very hard and it will be get big!

3 sign for abscess:
1 red zone near the iniection point
2 hot and warm near the zone of inieciont point
3 a little fever after 2 o 3 day from the iniection...but the fever go up after the passage of the days....

I am not sure if i have one or not. Its not as red as that or as swollen. It only hurts a little and i injected in that area rougly about 2 weeks ago.
