Ok to inject air with IM injects?

I have shot air during an IM injection in the past. I didnt seem to have any problems. Is getting the air out really only an issue with IV injects?

Ok, yeah, im talking 1cc or less. It can make my muscle shake some but otherwise its ok (which is probably also due to AAS temp not being the same as my body).

Some will inject .5cc or less in order to get the gear all the way out of the needle and to provide a tiny air lock to prevent any gear from leaking back up the injection track.

its okay. Im an RN at a hospital, and its common practice to inject a little air. It helps get all the solution into the tissue. Its very useful for shots containing thicker solvents like the Depoprovera shot. And yes, it would take at least 3cc of air to kill you, but highly unlikely even that for you are injecting into the muscle. Unless left for a long period of time. More likely to just form a large air pocket that needs to be released by a physician.

No good reason that I can think of to have even close to 1cc of air in the syringe. Just push most of the air out of the syringe prior to injection. Why not?

Fair enough, although even with that, you should only need .1-.2mL of air.
