medical steroid use?

hey all,
Just wondering if you could help me out in learning what steroids are used in cases such as back problems (arthirits, ms, herniated disk, etc)

also if anyone knows of actual research to back it up? and maybe if anyone has any personal info about it to?

The steroids you are looking for info on are a different class known as corticosteroids, not the same as AAS.

As far as meidcal uses for AAS though you can find volumes about using it in treatment of waisting diseases, AIDS, Anemia, lost of cancers where the patient can't keep on weight.

Brings up one of the things that pisses me off most about Dr's, most docs will tell you steroids are evil and useless, then go prescribe some guy trt. Never once does it occur to these over-educated individuals that the 27,000,000 scripts handed out in 2004 for TRT were actually 27million scripts for steroids! Just goes to show, you don't have to have a degree to be stupid, but it helps.

I dont think AAS are prescribed in the circumstances u r describing... at least not in here.. but i have heard that if u have degenerated discs AAS might help a lil .. but medically they r used in ways other ppl here have said. .
