sorry, I think I missed where you took your shot. In the delt?
I once shot into a nerve in my ass. The muscle spazed right out. Everything was fine.

Been my experience when you hit a nerve it tells you right now, not later. You should be good to go, you prolly just put the depot next to a nerve, not hit it with the pin.

the pinky finger on palmar and dorsal side is innervated by the ulnar nerve, which does not pass anywhere near the lat...so i dont think you hitting a nerve has anything to do with the numbness

if you are referring to carpal tunnel syndrome, this is not true..the median nerve is the only nerve that passes through the carpal tunnel, and the median nerve has no innervation in the pinky at all

The pinky, ring finger and that side of the hand going numb are symptoms of cubital tunnel syndrome. Carpal tunnel syndrome is the other two fingers and thumb and affects the nerve in the wrist. I have had two surgeries on both wrists with great results but had the nerve in the elbow moved because of cubital tunnel and would not recommend having that done until it is a last resort. Had the elbows done last sept and oct and still weak as hell. Carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel is very common in weightlifting. Tony is right about the median nerve.
