Smoking & Cycling

I live in a country where smoking is not treated as it is in the states. It's pretty much acceptable anywhere and that's a pain in the ass. It's also a "cafe society" so with the espresso comes the cigarette. I know the negs about cigs but what about cigs and gear? Do they have any effect on gear...that is, the smoke, nicotine, etc? Also, if any one has any true suggestions on how to quit smoking I'm all ears.

i don't have to be a brain surgeon to know smokin = no good .... gear or no gear...
other than that i am sure there are plenty of bro's on here who smoke and use aas...

Yes, smoking sucks! The thing is the pressures of living in Israel are heavy...really heavy and smoking seems to be the last thing anyone is worried about. I just don't know how I'm going to give up those smokes with coffee. I just wanted to make sure that there was no effects on the gear. By the way, I hear that smoking actually lowers testosterone levels in the body.

give it up bro, I quit 2 years ago and it has turned out to be the single most positive effect on my training, I actually get some oxygen while squatting now.
