    glutamine before cardio?

It was suggested to me to take glutamine 5-10 grams before my cardio to preserve muscle, can I get some different views on this and are there any sides to glutamine? Is it ok to do cardio everyday or should I take a day off? Can glutamine be purchased at a local supplement store
