yes, you need at least a gallon... you should be able to do this fairly easily. I use a 1 quart water bottle and carry it with me all day i usually can get about 6-8 quarts down during the day. your stomach will begin to grow if you are eating enough. Water is very important!

You should get it in yes. You might not be able to take it all in right away but build up to it and slowly increase your water intake by the day. It's quite important for flushing toxins from the body and helping with digestion as well as many other benefits.

Put some flavor in it. I hate water. Get some walmart brand crystal light. Its got nothing in it but flavor, no calories, no transfat no nothing.

No. Water is best, sports drinks(and sugary drinks) as well as teas don't count towards the gallon of water that you need to drink/day

thought maybe that could be the cause of your reluctance to hydrate.

Wether you are gear or not you need high water intake. High protein diets requires adequate water intake. Muscle is mostly water too.

I hear that. To get myself in the habit of drinking water I used to carry around a gallon container with me and would be sipping on it all day.

Now, I carry 2. If I don't have my water...I get very thirsty.

yes they do, you just need a gallon of rehydrating liquid. (meaning anything without caffenine, and excessive sugar, sodium free,) so water, tea, lemonaide theres many things with artificial sweeteners such as such as splenda. theres a whole slew of them. water is best though.

There's a lot of mythology about water - most of it untrue. While a gallon a day won't hurt you, it's not clear that most people need this much. As long as you don't feel thirsty and your urine is just barely yellow, you're adequately hydrated. As far as your body is concerned H2O is H2O in whatever kind of liquid you drink. Even with diuretic drinks like coffee or alcohol, your body still retains up to 2/3 of the water - more if you're a regular caffeine drinker.

Son how can the gallon not count thats nonsense. If I have a full gallon of water and just add flavoring to make it easier to drink its still a gallon of water.

you'd think it would be harder to drink all that flavoring, i'd get sick of crystal light but i can drink water all day and night.

i find it pretty easy, i use crystal light rasberry tea, and peach tea, the only thing that you have to worry about really is excessive consumption of Phenylalanine which is in alot of diet drinks, im not sure if crystal light has it though.
