Effects on immune system by a testosterone only cycle?
Does a testosterone only cycke have a positive or negative effect on one's immune system?
The reason I ask this is as I'm on week 12 and have been fairly ill and dropped 10lbs in 6 days. I have flu like symptoms and recently had a nose bleed.
What I want to know is if this is my body saying, enough is enough (12 weeks) or its just the flu.
This is my first cycle and am considering ending it on week 12. It was originally 14 weeks.

I live in the UK and it is getting colder here and flu's and colds do become more common.
I havent been to the doctor yet, but will go tomorrow or the following day if no improvements show.

Swifto it is my understanding that Test can actually boost your immune system response, not hinder it. I don't know that this can be said of all AAS, and I am sure it can't, but Test is good for the immune system.

I looked through about a dozen pubmed studies before I posted that, while none came out and said test was good for the immune system in general, all indicated that for the tested paramiters that test increased the immune system response.

What happens is when you inject testosterone some of it is going to aromatize or your body is otherwise going to compensate to create a hormonal balance with estrogen. Now estrogen is your key hormone here, estrogen increases the amount of white bloodcells, in other words those responsible for your immunesystem. Are you running some kind of antiestrogen along side of your testosterone?

I was incorrect, Swifto I sent you a PM on this, but here it is. And I might say Kungen is pretty damn close to right. http://www.mayoclinic.org/news2004-rst/2499.html

The studies I looked up on pubmed all invloved very specific paramiters in which test helped immune response but only on a singular issue limited cellular basis. What is noted in the mayo study is that Test actually "down regulates"(for lack of a better way to say it) white blood cells causing a supressed immune response.

Test is the shiiiit ...makes me catch a cold every time I jump on it. Never can seem to last more than 5weeks without getting into trouble with it. Ruins workouts, eating and everything ...****s up. might as well restart! ...12weeks on Test without a cold seems impossible for me!!!...
