Would it be worth it for a natural to take injectable b12? I currently take b12 tablets but have just read they have a 1% absorption rate. Thanks in advance

my wife just gave me an injection of b12 and i feel nothing from it dont wast your money on it.
I take 1ml inject of it every day. Love the stuff. I think Lion said it takes a week or so to really feel the full effects of it.
I wouldn't be without it.
i think it would be worth it
and it should be injected ed for best results. i think lion says 1000mcg
Yep, theirs is 1000mcg/ml. Check out http://www.buyb12.com/ (part of Lions site). See the articles on the left side.Originally Posted by jnx3k
Cool. Thanks for all the replies guys
i take the 1000mcg tabs of b-12 and havent really noticed anything, would i feel a diff with the injectable?
1000mcg injectable b-12 every day,,,,,excellent stuff and it takes me around 5 days to feel the difference
You're really only absorbing a small amount of the B-12 in the tab form, so yes, the injectable form will put far more useable B-12 into your system.Originally Posted by godkilla
I think Lion sells it for $30 for 30ml at 1000mcg/ml, so that's one months supply at one ml per day. I'd wager your paying about the same for the pill form, and getting less useable B-12 into your system.
Not like I work for them or anything, I'm just sold on the product. Again, check out the info on http://www.buyb12.com/ It boasts impressive properties for those of us trying to build muscles and maintain a healthy immune system.
To be sure, there are detractors. But it might be worth a try for you.
i started taking b-12 injects for a month now & i feel more alert, energized, & not as fatigued. just wait about 1-2wks & u will feel a difference.
Don't buy it here though, $80.00Originally Posted by bigJJ

You are right about the absorption, as the injectable will have a much greater bioavailibity. You will probably feel a little better and have an increased appetite, but it won't really do much for muscle gains if that is what you are after, tho it can't hurt.
I like it...keeps my energy up during my contest prep.
Helps me utilise my food better.
Won't give you gear-like gains by any stretch...but would be a great addition to a Natural Athelete's stack.
A natural athelete needs to improve absorption of nutrients...any compound that will assist such would be a valuable addition.
examples:
B-12 and B-complex vitamins: improves the body's ability to release enegry from food
Chromium picolinate/d-pinitol/ R-ALA: increased glucose uptake
Digestive enzymes: improved digestion of protein...and by extension...better amino acid uptake tru greated availability
thnx for the replies everyone, gonna get some injectable b-12 and try that after my tabs are gone.![]()
No, no... That's just for the reference articles. Go to the AR sponsor siteOriginally Posted by speak

Same company, same product. Not sure why the different prices though.
how much should you pay for b-12 liquid
like 25 bucks for alot of it...
Lion gets $30 for 30ml / 1000mcg/ml. Which isn't bad, considering I know it's good stuff. His shipping is a bit over the top though, at $10 for Priority. All it does is make me order more stuff so I feel like I'm getting my moneys' worth...lol.
You can pick it up at the pharmacy in Walmart here in Canada without a prescript. for $7.00 Can.
Probably a special discount thing for the membersOriginally Posted by bigJJ
I like B-12 as you all, I also draw it in syringe first so no waste gear when injecting.
Oral B-12 is a waste as the stomach destroys it.
You have to use the injectible.
Injectible, most, like the one you guys are talking about, is cyanacobalamin, which is quick acting and you need to inject 1,000mcg/ml ED.
Synthetek, which is a sponsor here too (click on the banner at the top), sells a time release B-12 that has been around for years, called Synthelamin.
They sell 100ml bottles, of 2,000mcg/ml (double the strength) of human grade inj B12 for $49.95 with free shipping.
The best thing about it though, is that it is a pre stacked ester product, containing cyancobalamin and hydroxycobalamin.
Cyanacobalamin is quick acting, needing to be injected daily, while hydroxycobalamin is long acting and only needs to be injected once a week.
With Synthelamin, I always recomend that people inj 1ml per day every day for the first week, and then 1ml twice a week thereafter. Doing it this way, a bottle will last you a whole year, so less than $1 per week.
Plus it has the huge advantage of having to be injected only once or twice a week due to it's time release, so you are not being a constant pin cushion like wiht all the other inj B12's on the market.
is it wise to use it when on aas? also is it done subcutaneously, slin pin maybe?
Hey Narkissos, don't mean to hijack, but how the hell can u use such a big pic for your avatar and not me!!!Originally Posted by Narkissos

its made by vedco. 5 ticks on a slin pin eod
I think it helps with appetite
Of course. It will give an overall 'feel good' feeling, it will increase your appetite, give you energy, etc.Originally Posted by jdh
And yes, it's SQ or IM, using the tinniest pins you can get.
