    I think they suck personally but I just like free weights better I've never seen a huge person that only uses a bowflex not saying there might not be a couple out there but I doubt it.

    Thats interesting that you say that. Do you think it could have anythinig to do with the fact that bowflex controls and limitts range of motion/balance? Therefore neglecting musccles that miight be worked out if free wieghts were used?

    DON'T BUY THAT GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!
    I bought one last year thinking about the time Id save to and from the gym.
    BIG MISTAKE!!! Within six months it was completely wore out. The resistance
    of those stupid bows change through out there motion. For example if your doing a chest press at your normal resistance or weight, the first half of the motion will feel like nothing. If you add resistance to compensate, then the first half of the motion will feel right but the rest will be too hard. copy?
    not to mention if you plan on working out legs you will need to order double the amount of bows. Oh did I mention its GARBAGE!!!! after three months
    my bowflex was falling apart. It became downright dangerous to use. And bowflex knows this !! There always sending me recall notices and bandaid parts to reinforce the machine. Oh lets not forget the class action lawsuit
    info I was sent. Apperantly the tower has come crashing down on owners
    wile doing heavy leg exersize. I paid 2k for that garbage and sold it a few months ago to some cop for 800 bucks. I feel like I totally ripped him off...
    oh well. I hope this helps on your decision. cheers!

    i think they do the job if u are only using it to stay toned... but they are deffinetly not great at building much muscle... i wore mine out also... and when i called to get that lifetime warranty on the bows they told me to loosen the screw and turn them 180 degrees... that didn't do shit..

    I think all those machines are garbage. They are rickety and hard to use. Note when you see a commercial you only see the person working out do 1 rep then it changes to another exercise, then 1 rep then it changes.....etc. The reason is is because if you saw someone do 10 reps on it, you would see how unstable and uneasy it is. AIMO.

    $2,000 for that piece of shit?

    Spend the money on a powerrack, a bench and an olympic weight set. Leftover money can be spent on bands, chains, and GHR.

    I'm surprised the Infomercials aren't broadcast all over Europe as well.

    I took plant sterols in the 80's and testosterone pills made from dried bull testicles... I even used american gladiator hot anabolic activator... but even I am not wasting my time on a bowflex.... lol

    I actually have an old chrome version of the total gym I got at a garage sale for 40$, its a big heavy one with an old 1970's brown fake leather seat and back pad... it was great for stretching out my muscles before and after the gym, or a fast pump before going to the club...

    bowflex= pile of shit!
