    eating and AS

    When doing a bulking cycle is there such a thing as eating too much?

    My diet is super clean as I don't have a love loss with junk food except pizza. However I've learned to live with less.

    I'm currently bulking and getting ready to cycle. Now my diet looks like this:


    35% protien, 50% carbs and 15% fat. at roughly 4500-5000cal per day.

    This will be my first cycle and want to grow well! Should I eat more or as much as posible?

    We need to know your stats before we can accurately tell you how much you nee to eat. Generally though 25kcal/lb each day is good for bulking but if you're a little on the fat side then I would opt for lower calories.

    I heard that its 2 grams of protien to every pound.

    200 pounds

    400 grams protein.

    Is this correct?

    I heard 1.5 per pound
    I also read that most americans get too much protein from there eating habits but the protein comes a lot of fatty foods.

    anywhere between 1.5-2 grams per lb of bodyweight is fine
    As far as the 1st question goes...IMO i say bulk while ur bulkin..eat like a horse...worry about cutting calories and all when its time to do a cutting cycle

    I agree with D3m3nt3d.

    When you bulk, all you need to worry about is 4 things:

    1. Getting enough protien
    2. Getting enough calories
    3. Getting all your vitamins and minerals
    4. Drinking a lot of water

    I think cutting or bulking you need to make sure you get all 4 of those regardless.

    I swear i must be the smallest dude in here, every guy who posts is 200+ pounds over 6 feet with 10-15 bf
    my ass is 168 5 10 bf?? i am in need of some size ;-(

    i would just eat a ton of protein that works for me but youre diet my be right for yourself

    I ain't 200lbs either (yet). I am 6' weighing in at 190lbs. A little over 4 weeks ago I was weighing in at 180 lbs though.

    I have been eating pretty damn clean too. I would guess bf to still be at ~15%. Give me 4 or 5 more months and I'll be in the 200lb class - To stay!!

    We can do it xplicit!! Look at all of the knowledge we are surrounded by! The part about being over 6' though, I think we are screwed. Oh well, we have to take what the good man gave us and be happy.

    I just finished my workout and told my trainer I was taking 600 grams of protein and he just about sh*t. He said to stop doing so much. He said the doc told him its bad on the kidneys and liver at that level. 210 lbs yeah I finally made 210. . Anyway another trainer was listening and they both said that its the lean body mass to work with

    for example:

    bf at 15%

    .15 * 210 = 31.5
    210-31.5 = 178.5
    178.5 * 1.7 = 303 grams of protein.

    Also said that since my diet is so clean and I am eating really good I might only need to do a protien drink after work out.

    Any opinions on this I welcome.

    Shit andro, I don't know if it's good for you or not, I just don't know how in the hell you get to 600! That's amazing bro! I give everything I have towards eating enough (seems harder than my workouts sometimes!) to get to 300 grams. I need to talk with you sometime about how you are doing it - and doing cleanly, I'm impressed. 210 lbs?! You got 20 lbs on me bro. I'll catch ya - lol. Sooner or later. That shows what a good diet does for you though. Keep it up my friend!

    ill slowly go toward 200 lol it may take over a year tho lol

    Quit your complaining, I'm only 160 and 5'9", but my fat % is low, but I don't really care about that.

    All that will change after my first cycle, so watch out, your going to be the light one then
