Can I use Proviron in place of nolvadex? if so what kind of dose?

Yep 50mg ED..................... but adding the nolva would just give you a little more protection.
Is the Nolvadex necessary? or just good for extra protection? should I keep some on hand or do you think the Proviron is unough?
Depending on what you're running and how sensitive you are to estrogen the proviron might be enough. The nolva would keep the ER free of any estrogen that was aromatized from the gear you're running.Originally Posted by kolbety
So it's up to you in what you end up doing but adding the nolva at 10mg ED would be smart to cover all bases.
im using 50mg proviron ED along with 20mg Nolvadex ED also. my course is 100mg anadrol and 100mg prop ED. will the extra 10mg nolvadex hinder gains or cause any other problems?
I think 10mg/ED is sufficient, unless your gyno prone.Originally Posted by Timm1704

Possibly because its more effective than Nolva at reducing sides?Originally Posted by IronAdonis
this sounds very daft id assume, but im only using 20mg out of convenience. the tablets are 20mg, and are absolutely horrible to try and cut into halves. tried it with afew of them and they just turned to dustOriginally Posted by Swifto
In some cases one 25 mg tablet per day is sufficient. When combining Proviron with Nolvadex (50 mg Proviron/day and 20 mg Nolvadex/day) this will lead to an almost complete suppression of estrogen.
Be careful - every profile seems to state that proviron reduces estrogen, but it's very hard to find any in vivo studies that back this up. I would regard proviron as likely a weak anti-estrogen through competition for the aromatase enzyme. To be safe, stick with a standard AI which are known to reduce estrogen.

But if you look at Anthony's references, they refer to proviron's affinity for SHBG rather than aromatase. It's plausible that it also has a strong enough attraction for aromase to block testosterone from attaching, but there's really no studies measuring this effect. Whereas there are studies quantifying exactly how much an AI (such as arimidex) will reduce estrogen levels.Originally Posted by grimnlock
Check out this thread for a good discussion of whether proviron has AI properties:

It was jboldman who originally pointed out that there's not much evidence for it. So far I haven't found any studies proving it either.
Wonder how aromasin compares to the two, or if it can be substituted all together.
