i can't sleep whether i am on or not. so sometimes i take sleeping pills. it works good. you feel more rested. but it could make you a little tired the next day. depending on how many you take.

oh and i was talking about over the counter sleeping pills. they are weaker.
and if you decide to buy some. get the cheapest ones. cause they are all the same. (Diphenhydramine HCL) 25mg or 50mg.

you can also ask your doc to prescribe you some. they work very well.

Hey, let me start by saying I don't know sh*t about nothing.....I'm very new here.. But may I offer an insight to this particular propblem? I have dealt with this insomnia for a looooong time.

I saw somone post about OTC being a little weaker than some of the prescription. Diphenhydrammine (more commonly known as Benadryl) is the active ingredient in most OTC sleep medication as well as allergy medication (though sometimes mixed with beta 2 stim for the latter). My experience has been that Benadryl works, but leaves you foggy the next day with one hell of a hangover.

See if your doctor can prescribe a medication called "Senota". It works a lot better than OTC and doesn't leave you with a hangover. It is also considered less habit forming than benadryl, and I bet your doc won't give you any grief about giving it to you.

I've also tried Ambien, but I think Sonota is the way to go.

What the heck is Sonota? I did a Yahoo search and can't find anything. I don't like OTC sleeping pills because of the groggy feeling the next day. I've had OK luck with some herbal stuff (Calms mainly) and I have some Ambien.... but it takes about 2hrs to kick in for me (I think I'm just stubborn LOL).

It takes about 30 minutes to work, and when it kicks in.... You better be ready to sleep. Kind of hard to get used to at first.. You're just sitting there, and then all of a sudden it's the next day and you feel great. It's classified as a mild hypnotic. Email me if you can't find it. I can send you the insert

Man, lots of info keeps coming up on sleep aids. We need an in-house doc to decode it all and make a sticky!

its weird cause il be very tired all day, and at night i lay down and try to sleep, but all i can think of is how fast my heart is beating, or maybe something that makes me mad. this sh_t really makes me mad cause i know i should be getting lots of sleep since im on gear. once i get pissed then im really awake.
