    diet while sick..

Ppl here say that u should keep cals high when sick (on cycle).. which I sorta agree but when u r sick u dont feel like cooking or eating. So a solution would be junk food (I can eat that better when sick). What I am asking is this still ok or would it be counter productive..

Your diet should be high with quality calories, not junk. If you're having trouble eating while sick I would suggest drinking more calories and use a weight gainer to help maintain mass in the off period from your proper training and diet regimine.

junk food = refined sugars, which means they spike your blood sugar levels fast, which spikes insulin levels, which causes most of it to be deposited as fat. Contraversely, things like rice are unrefined sugars, and they last much longer and spike much more slowly, and your muscles can take them up over the period of a few hours. Very little these carbs are stored as fat, unless your carb intake is way too high.

Junk food is not good under any circumstance unless you want to be a fatass.
