Acne Problem!!
OK, during my second cycle i blew up in size and strength, but developed a bad acne problem
Lots of acne appeared on my chest (It's not gyno...they're zits), and especially on my back.
Been over a month now since cycle ended. Much of the acne has subsided, and i have taken vitamin b6 ed to help curb it. But there is still quite a bit of acne.....
Any suggestions on what to do? Not sure if i should ask a doc about accutane......although that would fix it

B5 in large dosages (5 to 10g ED) can help....... but best is accutane.
Also, use Nizoral shampoo on your skin to help...........

I spray lysol on the inside of a shirt.. anti bactirial baby.. then wear it to sleep and that clears me up in like 4 days.. i don't recommend this tho cause it could mess with ur skin this is just what i do cause i know it works 100%.

Mudman, i've heard B6 works too and i have noticed a slight improvement. But again i am not sure if its because ive been off for a bit now, or if it's the b6. Hard to tell to be honest
So would b5 + b6 be a good combo for this?
Again, no accutane! because that stuff messes with your liver... Dermatologist would probably perscribe me to it , but i do not think it would be worth it
Maybe i should see the dermatologist also....

B5, Dawn Dishwashing soap.
That's what I use.
When it was severe for me I used tetracycline but I don't think your case sounds as severe as mine was.

tetracycline is nasty stuff, i was on it when i was a lot younger.
Heads up, i've had acne problems for about 10 years!
but this stuff was for my face- my face is a LOT better now than what it was a long time ago...... tetracycline i think made it impossible to stay in sun, and made me lose weight because i did not eat much

I got some acne on my back from Tren and I did run accutane and it cleared up everything in three weeks. If your acne is bad, it may take longer time but it is the best treatment I have seen for acne.

But the problem i see are the liver issues. Oral steroids + Accutane i do not think would be good for you...
Also, if you are to take it correctly you need a blood test i think every month. Another nuisance
i like the b5+b6 combo. i think ill try this first and see if it helps

good point.
but aren't you off cycle?
plus the monthly bloodtests would be good in your case since you've "abused" your liver. so you can make sure the accutane isn't f'ing it up.

Yeah, I'm really acne prone as well. I'm on this stuff called metrogel and tazorac (both perscriptions). They seem to be helping. Accutane is supposed to be the best, but there are some possible sides to it.

I'm not suggesting you do it as the doctor told you not to. I'm just sharing my experience.

i believe when i was taking it (i think i was only like 13 years old)...getting in the sun gave me bad rashes and/or burns, even if it was not for very long
not something i am taking again...... sides were bad from what i recall from tetracycline

Now back on topic.
B5, Nizoral and tanning help me a lot. Took a couple of weeks but much better now.

I had the same problem after my second cycle, nothing from the first. I just started taking these B5 supplements two weeks ago, and it has really helped. It suggests to take with a B Complex vitamin as well. I just got some accutane, but want to try this route first. Good luck.

Forget the acne soaps. Wash your back with Nizoral Shampoo (no, really). This is really weird, but that shampoo (the chemical in it is Ketoconazole) is a topical anti-androgen but it's effects are limited to the skin/scalp unless you take the pill form (or drink the shampoo). The results indicate that oral intake of itraconazole will result in therapeutic levels in the skin and these levels vary, depending on the region of skin tested. There are at least three routes of delivery of oral ketoconazole to the skin:
1. Passive uptake by keratinocytes in the basal layer
2. Excretion through the sweat glands
3. (The important one) A massive excretion through the sebaceous glands
Sebum levels compared with the plasma levels are very high, even with oral ingestion, which prompted researchers to simply create a shampoo from the base chemical, to prevent androgenic alopecia (balding). There is almost no effective plasma level to cause an anti-androgenic effect in your body when you topically apply it.
I figured out that it would prevent acne, when I had some acne on my forehead during my first cycle (8 years ago when I was 19y.o.). I had been using Nizoral to prevent hairloss...anyway, you always get some shampoo on the top of your forehead when you wash your hair, and I noticed only that area was free of acne...sooo... long story short, I started using it as a topical acne treatment and my steroid -induced acne cleared right up. I guess that was my first real theory having anything to do with anabolics or whatever. Then a few years ago, I actually looked for validation on my theory, and found it...this study examines the pill form, but the shampoo is the same active ingredient, and won't have a noticable systemic effect, but rather will have a localized one wherever you apply it (to your bacne in this case).

The effect of ketoconazole on sebum secretion in patients suffering from acne and seborrhoea.
De Pedrini P, Rapisarda R, Spano G.
Clinica Medica Generale e Terapia Medica Institute, La Sapienza, University of Rome, Italy.
Ketoconazole, an imidazolic antimycotic derivative, has proved to have an antiandrogenous effect, which may be observed to inhibit the adrenal and gonadal steroid synthesis. The authors wished to verify this effect of the drug in men and women suffering from acne and seborrhoea, conditions believed to indicate a heightened androgenous effect in the sebaceous gland. They aimed to do this by studying the cutaneous sebum, which is considered a reliable indirect indicator of androgenous activity. They found a statistically significant decrease in the rate of sebum production in all patients administered with a single daily oral dose of ketoconazole (200 mg). Moreover no untoward side-effects were reported. The anti-androgenous property of ketoconazole would therefore suggest that the drug could be proposed as a useful alternative in the treatment of acne and seborrhoea.
