    Wow...I am speechless. FEEDBACK???

I just watched the HBO special on steriod usage and am literally at a loss for words. I am sure many on this site have seen it but if you have not please do, even more so if you viewed valentinos sp? video.

I cannot believe their is not one single long term study of serious side effects. If anyone has a link to a serious side effect others than acne, hair or cholestorol please chime in.

Also, how can the AMA (American Medical Associasation) along with others not support making AS illegal and it still get passed. I mean THEY are the experts right?

Please view this and give your opinion. This fact (no substantial evidence despite well over 4 decades of usage is appalling and has drastically changed my view on AS.

its quite the video...there are no studies linking steroids to serious health risks, ok. but its a fact that steroids can do things to you body that can lead to serious health problems down the road. ie the doctor says steroids do play with your cholesterol levels...if you do that for extended periods of time, you may well have heart problems down the road.

now when you get your autopsy, the doctor wont say "oh yea, he died from steroid use"...but one could conclude that the problem was initiated/aggravated by steroid abuse in the past

right i agree. what I am so awstruck about is the legality. How something can go from possibly dangerous to a class III narcotic.

and for the obviously out of date post...I just thought all the newbies should view this considering the overwhelming media onslaught.

    thanks for the comments though....

oh yea i see what you're saying...you're right, there should be many other things taken care of before steroids...ie smoking, alcohol, all leading causes of death in North America and massive costs to the govt in healthcare.
i guess its the same idea as marijuana, its arguably not a dangerous drug, yet you may very well go to jail for it.

really eye-opening video to newbies and really does some justice against all the other crap the media has been telling the public for years; too bad it is not on a major channel and aired frequently.

Yeah I think the HBO vid and the Valentino vid should be a sticky for newbies.

We get to see both sides of the issues.

I am sure most of you would agree, the educated bodybuilder is a better bodybuilder.

As said in the HBO special, the most notable side effect is that "they work"

messed up last post anyways... Media + lies + steroids + fights= action packed news and higher ratings which in turn = demand of public to ban steroids which in turn = puts pressure on politicians which when they do that = more votes which then final comes to well... steroids becoming illegal
